Goodbye 2013, Hello 2014

One of my Favorite Picture of the year
Taken in March on the journey back to Singapore from Parth

As the blog post tittle says...
Goodbye 2013, Hello 2014!!
Wow, it seems like with a blink of an eye, 2013 was gone.
It felt like just yesterday when I typed my post to reflect on the year 2012.
haha...I guess studying in Poly kind of screwed my years because we start school in April.
So for the past 2 years, I feel that the year starts in april instead of Jan ><"

Well this year, I honestly did a lot of things. I attended quite a number of concerts as well!
The first concert of the year for me was All Time Low's and I must say I almost died attending it (yes I still remember my experience there. Also, this year, I decided to attend Baybeats for the first time! And yes, I must say I will go again next year (especially to see the japanese groups that comes here to perform!!)
Another notable concert I went to was Music Matter', a free concert that was held at clarke quay. I went to watch flumpool and that was the first time I was ever so close to a band. Like literally they walked right in front of me to the stage..though I went just in time for their stage I was super surprised when they walked in front of my eyes. I honestly enjoyed myself that night.
The last concert of the year that I attended was the most fun and the one concert I was most satisfied with. One Ok Rock's concert. This concert was really memorable for me as I stood quite in front and also the fact that I was able to write a review and have it posted on my school's portal was what made me feel I achieved something. I think I wrote this before somewhere but rather then seeing my name there as the byline I was more happy of how my review was a featured review and one ok rock's concert picture dominates the top of the page ><.
Saw Tomoya up close and I still cannot get over the fact that our eyes met *spazzes*

So happy to see OOR graze the top page keke..Review's here

Also this year, I managed to go to Perth :D (though it seemed like last year because I went before the start of year 2) Honestly before going to Perth I dreaded the trip and the fact that I wasn't going with my parents made me feel a bit burdened. However it was interesting to travel without my parents however it was tiring to stay formal '24 hrs' because I went with my aunt and my elder relatives. If I had the chance I would not mind going again but next time maybe with my friends or with my parents. ^^

Probably my fave shot of a sunset for the year

I also spent most of my days juggling school and work during the middle part of the year and it was probably the most tiring time of my life. However all these work paid off as I look at the salary I received, also I gained a lot of experience that is helping me in one of the module I currently take. Hence overall, I am grateful to have taken the chance to work there and do the different events which allowed me to meet all sorts of people.

The last highlight of the year would probably how I have gained more freedom. It seems that each year, since I turned 18, my parents are literally giving me more space to breathe and I am thankful for the fact that they allowed me so much freedom now and I honestly appreciate it.

IN CONCLUSION
2013 was a year that opened up my eyes more. It also allowed me to experience a lot of things and see things from a different perspective. Though I barely had time for myself this year having to juggle school, work and social life, I would say that though I was tired I was still happy with how 2013 went and I hope that the year 2014 would allow me to experience new things as well.

THOUGHTS FOR 2014...
My 'list of things to do' in 2014 would probably not be much as the past years I have done alot of things I wanted to do in 2013. Anyways, here is my list for 2014:
1. To stay in shape
This resolution would probably never change even if I managed to stay in shape. Honestly I don't really care about my weight it is more of how I want to retain the lines on my stomach and get rid of the 3 level bulge my stomach makes when I sit down. Also I need to get rid of my flabby arms before my mom calls me 'aunty' again. However I find this resolution very hard to complete every year because of how busy I become when school starts. But I will try my best to stay in shape and stay healthy this year.

2. Go to concerts again
Another resolution that would probably retain for the next few years is to attend as much concerts as I can. So far I havent have my eyes set on any concerts but I am definitely waiting for VIXX to come now ><" haha..(my inner kpop soul has once again came out all of a sudden and I am now obsessed with this group). As excited as I am, I hope I can get to see some good bands again here live.

3. Go through internship smoothly.
Not sure if this can be a resolution but I honestly pray and hope I will get through my internship days smoothly. I do not know where I am working at yet but I hope I am able to cope and work there smoothly.

4. Fun Fun Fun
As busy as I would be next year, i still want to have fun. I wish that I will be able to balance school, social life and my personal time better. ( I mean I have a lot of shows/dramas that are waiting for me so yes I need more time for myself next year...)

5. Fifa World Cup
YES FINALLY THE YEAR FOR WORLD CUP!! I waited too long for this to happen haha..hope that I would be able to subscribe and watch the matches!! This would definitely be the highlight of the year!

So yes, I do not know what next year would have installed for me but either way I hope I will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed 2013 and may everyone stay healthy and enjoy the upcoming year as well.
There may be hard times but they will always pass. Before you know it, it would be 2015 *scary*

With that, I bid farewell and Cheers :D
